I happened to participate in a WebJunction webinar on Library Technology competencies the other day and during that session, thought about how the 23 things project could go a long way on helping staff work on those technical skills that they would need to help people in the library.
All of the things that were listed are used at some point by patrons and staff all the time. Besides being a learning experience, it will be a fun experience with no pressure from anyone except the participant, him/herself.... Do you find this valuable?

I think building a good support network for those taking part in the program will be very important. Also getting support and much needed marketing from the regional systems will help convince a lot of people that a program like this has value.

I can guarantee that we can get the word out effectively through the KLA Newsletter. KLA support for a project like this might also be of value. Do you find this valuable?
